Orik Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Orik iOS app. They are between you and Levon Gekchian ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree, do not use Orik.

What Orik does

Orik helps you save birthdays and other important dates, prepare reminders, and optionally sync dates with Contacts and Apple Calendar. Orik Plus adds the features shown in the app. You control which dates and notes you add and which device permissions you grant.

Your content and permissions

You are responsible for the information you enter or import and for having permission to use it. Contacts sync is optional. If you enable it, Orik reads contact names and birthdays available under your iOS Contacts permission and saves matching date records in the app. Turning sync off stops future imports and updates; it does not remove dates already saved in Orik.

If you enable Calendar sync, Orik creates or updates recurring entries in its dedicated “Orik” calendar. It uses the entry name, date, your event comment, and an internal marker to manage those entries. You can turn sync off in the app to remove Orik-marked events when iOS Calendar access is available. iOS notification delivery depends on your device settings and system limits.

Orik Plus subscriptions

Orik Plus is offered as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription through Apple. The current USD base prices are $1.29 per month and $12.99 per year. Apple may show a different localized price, currency, tax, or availability for your storefront. The price shown in Apple’s purchase sheet is the price that applies to your purchase.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access normally continues through the paid period. Apple handles billing, payment methods, cancellations, and refund requests. You can use “Restore purchases” in Orik to restore an eligible subscription.

When you use an Orik build distributed through TestFlight, Apple processes in-app purchases in its sandbox. Sandbox transactions are for testing and do not charge you.

Acceptable use and app ownership

Use Orik only as permitted by law and these Terms. Do not interfere with the app, attempt to access another person’s data, or misuse the Contacts, Calendar, notification, or subscription features. Orik and its design, software, and branding belong to Levon Gekchian or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, limited right to use the app while you comply with them.

Availability and liability

Orik depends on iOS, Apple services, and permissions you choose. Reminders, Calendar changes, subscription status, and widgets may be delayed or unavailable because of device settings, network conditions, or service interruptions. Do not rely on Orik as your only record of an important date.

To the extent allowed by law, Orik is provided without warranties that the app will always be available or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Changes

We may update these Terms when the app or legal requirements change. We will post the revised Terms here and update the effective date.
